We Ask An Aesthetics Practitioner
We got the chance to chat to our lovely brand ambassador and aesthetics practitioner Laura, or as some of you may know her @aestheticsbarherts on Instagram! We talked about the future of aesthetics, things practitioners should know, and of course, the best uniform to wear for work.
What made you get into the aesthetics industry?
I have a real creative side and attention to detail, alongside a long career within the medical industry it felt like a natural progression.
What are some of your favourite things about the industry?
I love providing new-found confidence for my clients. People often have a lot of insecurities and I get to take them on a journey and achieve what they didn’t believe was possible!
What do you think is the most important thing for aspiring aesthetics practitioners to know?
The industry is fast paced and there is a lot of competition. You will need to be a strong individual with knowledge, empathy and a strong aesthetic eye.
Do you think that the aesthetics industry is growing, and if so, slowly or rapidly?
The industry is growing rapidly, but also changing, with the hope for tighter regulations so we can really maximise safety for all.
What do you see in the future of the aesthetics industry?
I think there will be a lot less people training for it after tighter regulations are introduced. I see more accessible technology in clinics, which creates more safety for the clients.
Finally, which top & trouser from Kara are your favourites for work?
This is a tough question! But the winner goes to…
I love the Kara Edit range and my favourites are the No.1 Amor Zip Top & No.7 Fortis Tailored Trousers!
