Do you need to iron scrubs?
Depending on how you wash and dry your scrubs, the need for ironing scrubs for work will change. It is considered professional to have clean and ironed scrubs when you arrive for your workday. Good quality scrubs should be able to withstand regular washing and ironing. Kara scrubs are made from durable and tough material which will last. However, please read the care label on your scrubs when you receive them. Some of the Kara scrubs range are created from highly technical fabrics, to provide pet hair resistance, moisture-wicking etc – this can make the fabrics unsuitable for hot irons. For example, the W123 scrubs range is designed to be ironed on a cool iron only, to avoid ruining the fabric.
However, ironing scrubs can be a tedious task, minimise the need to spend time doing this chore by selecting a scrubs range that needs no or little ironing. Our Wink Four stretch range is flexible, which reduces the need for ironing – these scrubs are designed not to be ironed.
